4Good price and well worth itFeb 11, 2010
I purchased this lens and I've been having a lot of fun with it. I'm a photographer who helps promote local bands in my area and all of the bands love the fisheye look when they're playing live shows. It adds a great dynamic to the photos that really engages the viewer.
This lens is extremely easy to clean. It comes with a small microfiber wipe and you can take it apart for easy cleaning. It also comes with two ring attachments so you can fit it to other lenses. I've had pretty good luck with my 50mm 1.8 aperture, however I have to set the aperture to at least 4.5 because it blurs the image but at this higher aperture it gives it a much wider angle. On my 18-55mm macro lens, this thing really shines. Especially if you remove the macro lens attachment to get super macro shots. I love this attachment.
All in all, it was money well spent.

4Does the job for my T1iJan 17, 2010
For the price, you really can't get anything better. It's a great addition to my equipment, but I would not say it does a very good job of focusing the entire picture. The camera does a good job of getting the image clear in the center, but it gets blurry around the edges. Probably my least favorite thing about this attachment is that it needs the adapter to fit on Canon lenses. It wouldn't be a problem if I could keep this adapter ON all the time, but if I leave it on the camera, I can't use the lens cap. If I put it on the fisheye attachment, same problem - the cap doesn't fit. It says the fisheye attachment is for the canon EOS lenses, but I don't believe that to be true, since I need to lug around this stupid adapter all the time.

4Fun for the PriceJan 07, 2010
I wasn't expecting to be too enthralled considering the price. However, I wanted to experiment with a fisheye lens without spending so much money on an actual super wide angle lens, from say Canon or whatnot. This conversion lens converts your lens of choice, in my case the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS kit lens, into a super wide angle fisheye. For the focal length, just multiply your focal length with ".35". Therefore, your focal length will vary depending on which lens you use this with.

I have been quite satisfied. I've generally been using it as a toy lens and having fun with it. It's constructed of metal and quite simple. I would imagine if it were constructed of plastic it would turn many people off. I'm not afraid of putting this thing through abuse. The image quality isn't much to write home about, but considering the price and metal construction, it wouldn't hurt at all to pick one up for yourself.

4Good quality for the priceDec 20, 2009
The product is what you would expect for the price. The lens is made of two parts and the macro lens can be used independently from the fisheye filter. The macro lens can be used within 1-2 mm of the object being photographed. Quality is average- the fisheye filter produces a slightly blurry image. The fisheye effect is comparable to that of real fisheye lenses.

5Nice , cheap, and much funDec 17, 2009
I used this converter lens with my panasonic Lumix FZ28, yes it fit it too, the image is surprised sharp as for the spended money, not recommended for night shots especially on the street where is to much lights, the glass create a flares from each light in the shot, it looks like much fun for the Christmas time but not really great, the horizontal view is not exactly 180 degrees , however I had much fun testing this product out and it is worth the money for sure , the lens is made of metal and optical glass so not plastic as in the other cases around, I would recommend this product for the amateurs and beginners or just regular hobbyist. if you don't have what you like, you have to like what you have.... it is always better as nothing and if you have $800 at last to spend for a better stuff just skip this page..
